A compact controller box makes the printer ideal for limited floor space. With piezo printer technology, expect higher code volumes: up to 121 meters of coding per minute ranging from 65mm in height to 3000mm in length. Eight print densities are available using the four adjustable Intelli’Wax printheads, and you can use up to 4 different colors of ink on the same line. With the 5800 you can refill ink while the coder is in use, improving productivity. A simple menu structure and an easy-to-use touch screen provide effortless integration and operation, while our CoLOS job creation and data management system allows you to centrally manage prints and ensure consistency and traceability across your lines.

Unlike liquid inks that may bleed into porous cardboard or require drying time on non-porous films, Touch Dry® ink is a solid wax-based compound that melts for printing and solidifies instantly upon contact with the substrate. This ensures 100% readable, high-contrast codes that never smudge, fade, or migrate, regardless of the material.
Yes. Because the ink solidifies through temperature change rather than absorption, the 5800 is highly effective on corrugated cases, trays, shrink-wrapped bundles, and even rigid polystyrene foam.
Absolutely. Touch Dry® inks are 100% solvent-free, non-hazardous, and safe for operators to handle. They emit no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), contributing to a safer and more sustainable workplace environment.
The system’s throughput is determined by the selected print density. At its highest velocity (Print Density 1), the 5800 can reach speeds of up to 182 meters per minute. For high-resolution GS1-128 barcodes, typical production speeds are approximately 121 meters per minute.
The 5800 is designed for maximum uptime. Operators can add solid ink “pucks” to the reservoir while the printer is in operation. There is no need to stop the production line or pause the print cycle, allowing for continuous 24/7 productivity.
Each Intelli’Wax® printhead provides a maximum print height of 65 mm and a print length of up to 3,000 mm. For larger graphics or multi-line data, the system can support up to two printheads per controller.
